First of all, churros are fried-dough strings top up with sprinkled sugar and cinnamon and their background comes a long way. No one is exactly sure of their origins as some believe they were brought to Europe through Portuguese explorers all the way from China, while others say they were created to fulfill the need Spanish shepherds had to access to easy and quickly-made food since they spent most of their time up in the mountains. But the truth be told, even though all the stories behind these mouthwatering treats are very entertaining, in my opinion the one single thing that matters from it is all the possible types of churros there can be made.
