How About Roasted Rack of Lamb?
Some plates call you, they invite you to take a bite and just get carried away in the moment. Today that happened to me. I could not look away from my plate and it was starting to feel like romantic music would suddenly blare out of nowhere and I’d be caught in a compromising position with a Roasted Rack of Lamb. Honestly, I couldn't care less.
I was aware that my date was feeling left out, but how could I not admire the beauty of this dish? This was the food version of a summer fling: A week’s special. My mind was reeling, it could not end up so quickly! The smell was delicious, the perfect combination of the lamb with Pomegranate and Tamarind sauce, sauté fingerling potatoes and radish. This was no ordinary moment, I had to savor it. Enjoy it while it lasted. After all, it might be the last time my eyes crossed with this beauty, and I had to make every moment count.
Raising my glass I proposed a toast: For the amazing food! And for my date, of course. Because without her, I would have never drove to the other side of town to get mexican food. Maybe this was as promising as this restaurant, that was now topping my list.
