Best of Both Worlds: Traditional Food Meets Modern Cuisine


There’s one thing that life has been clear about ever since the start of life: Evolution is the only way to continue. When that comes to cuisine, it's not easy to tell your grandmother that their traditional recipes can be adapted to the modern world. Although this change is inevitable, there are some aspects of it that must remain the same in order to keep the essence, especially when you come from strong cultures, like the Mexican one.

It is one of the most spread out culinary cultures across the world, distancing itself from the other styles like Italian and French cuisine. The Mexican food is rooted in the minds of people as something that must remain constant, and should never reinvent itself. It’s part of what makes it great, though. The fact that they’ve carried that tradition for several generations of Mexicans, keeping it more or less intact for the future is incredible. But as we’ve known for the past decade or so, things tend to take a turn to a more modern approach, and we have to adapt quickly to changes. All that while being respectful of the origins, because sometimes people can get offended by the different interpretations of the dishes.


Here in the United States is very easy to find a big variety  of Mexican cuisine, because it is a culture that has spread out across the country. Mexican food has been modernized; from franchises of fast food places to restaurants like RG Cocina Mexicana.
