Tips to Increase Your Delivery Rates!

Everything is at the tips of our fingers nowadays, including food. That’s why when you think of  modern strategies to increase your sales, delivery is on top of the list: It offers potential to generate growth, not just in sales, but in recognition. There’s also a market that you can explore with this technique: Selling your products to executives, companies and events. Now that you know this, I want to give you some tips to increase your delivery rate!

1) Make yourself present
When you are offering a delivery service, give them ways to contact you: Since you are the one reaching out to them, you should offer something well-defined. For example, place your phone number in a very visible place and on any other promotional product you can give for free. Some restaurants have magnetic flyers that their clients can put on their kitchen appliances and whether you choose this or some other method, make sure that the phone number and website that you use is presented and displayed correctly.

2) Get yourself a partner
You can use a website that allows you to connect with your clientele in terms of delivery. They can work as your own website, without the fuss of handling a page on your own. Most of the time, this service offers you the possibility of advertising within the same site, and categorizes its content by zone, type of menus and costs, attracting new customers and making it easier for them to reach out to you.

3) Call-to-action
This is the most traditional, simple and effective method of marketing as far as offering a service goes: Prompt them to do something. Writing something like “Order now!” it’s more likely to generate a response. Sounds silly, but it’s actually one of the more understated ways to get your clients to make the call.

4) Offer something in exchange
It might be a special product, a discount for an order over a certain amount, something that goes beyond the delivery itself. You are offering them something in return for their purchase, and they are more likely to act with that in mind. It’s a way to reward them for their loyalty.

5) Think in mobile terms
Remember the part about the tips of the fingers? This is exactly what I meant: You are offering something within their reach! The best way of taking advantage of this is offering the alternative of  ordering their favourite dishes using their smartphones, whether it is through a partnering app or optimizing your website to work on their mobile devices. The greatest thing about using mobile services? It never forgets an order.

6) Guarantee
This might sound confusing but it is one of the easiest ways to attract them: Advertise something you are great at! It’s all about doing self-advertisement, which it’s not necessarily a bad thing if what you’re offering them is real. Do you have the fastest delivery service? Or the biggest pizza? Just pick something you are great at, and they’ll respond to it. This can also be achieved through testimonials or reviews on your website.

7) Internet is your best friend
Calling a delivery service was in… a decade ago (2005). Nowadays people are looking for websites or apps to place a take-out or ask for a delivery. Why? Because it is a simpler way to do things. It might not be necessarily your niche, but if you want to be available for them you have to involve yourself in with the method they choose. By using a partner or your own website, you will have many more possibilities, so bottom line you need to have several different means for your potential clients to be able to reach you.

8) Fulfill your promises
If you are offering something, deliver it exactly the same way. Your online clients are expecting exactly what you are advertising. They expect the same attention as the ones that dine in. Take care of the details, such as napkin, sauces and tight containers to avoid spillings. Do a test run for all your products, and if some things are not delivered right, remove them from the delivery menu.
